Mastercam Design X3 version 12.0.4.20

CNC Software announces the release of Mastercam X3. Mastercam X3 offers expanded machining flexibility and an increased emphasis on speed and automation. Feature Based Machining, new high speed tool motion, and faster toolpath generation combine with dozens of additional new enhancements in a package intended to improve shop floor productivity.

Here are the most significant highlights and new functionality in Mastercam X3:

Feature Based Machining. Almost every shop deals with solid models, and Mastercam delivers a powerful way to automatically mill and drill these parts. Valuable for experienced power users and easy enough for new users, FBM evaluates a parts features and automatically designs an effective machining strategy.

2D High Speed Toolpaths. The success of Mastercam 3D high speed toolpaths leads to new high speed machining expressly for 2D machining. Although optimized for high speed cutting and hard milling, these offer many additional benefits

including superior finish and longer tool life.

Thanks for the links, however when I try to download part 4 I get this error "File doesn't exist (deleted by Admin-Panel or wrong ID). " Parts 1,2,3 are still okay for download. Is there another link somewhere that you know of or could find?

All the links worked fine and installed ok but when I tried to access the crack MacAfee deleted it and said it was a trojan. I will have to scan it on my other conputer with different anti virus proggies to see if in fact it is a trojan.

sorry about the delay following up goulyd, i was

i got the same result with antivir (the patch was detected as a trojan).

not sure what to say. the package (in the various links above) seems to be uploaded by several reputable folks but sometimes they slip up too. it could be the patch wants to write to various spots on the computer and the virus detectors find that suspicious. that sometimes happens, nonetheless i'm not keen on recommending a patch that spikes. the only problem is it's the only X3 package i can find and the different upload links all contain the same package (including the patch that spikes) - but that may be a good sign (as weird as that sounds).

my best advice on this one is to, if you can, install the app on a test machine and run the patch without your virus detector running... then scan the computer from top to bottom to see if the patch actually did install a trojan (be sure to delete the patch before you run the system scan).

does that sound do-able, reasonable?

I loaded it onto a backup computer and ran the program for 2 days now. I have scanned the computer twice with sympatico's anti virus and it shows everything clean, so as far as I can tell it looks good to go. ( no promises though ).

Most likely Zack is right.... Some of the patches write to teh registry the registration keys for the software... This trips the virus detection due to the suspicious nature of the file and also probably due to it being a hack the creator did not make the file seem very legit to windows...
