Little HELP needed

OK, one is about to buy SLINGERtoy., A little help is needed before one spend $H!T load of $ on the thing.

1. U connect slinger card straight to the internet? or u connect the slinger card to the computer and then to internet?? (it is understandable that slinger need to be connected to the internet via the net cable), but do u need to connect it to the computer through the USB port as well? (one noticed that there is a USB port on the box that the slingerCard is connected to).

2. Is ANYONE actually using sling public IKS right now?......is it reliable?

3. It appears that there is ONLY one company selling MOD service and slingerCards......is it a reliable company or some SCAM?........

any input from ACTUAL current users of teh slinger would be greatly appreciated here. This forum help a lot to many (one help a lot to many too....), now one need a little help.

1 usb is for programming the slinger, ethernet is for communication/control words (cardshare)

2 yes most are using the public service's, they have the best iks system at this time, their blowing every1 out of the water as far as customer service and quick actions

3 dssdooda was the original importer/seller, atleast 7 stores selling them now i can think of

i dont have 1 yet, but a few of my friends bought them, they seem pretty happy with slinger service's and are having more uptime then nfusion and way less problems/glitch's then nfusion

OKIE DOKIE, finally sLinger was installed.

1. original D**N****** receiver is FABULOUS, one love it, its truly masterpiece and an electronic marvel, all FTA receivers can only dream about the quality of this one. one uses 722......absolute HIT!!!!

2. sLinger servers are TRULY piece of SHIT. Freezing is a NORM in a sLinger world.

3. Major headache to set this one up. One had to drink a LOT!! of RUM and BEER and do some professional decoding to figure shit out. (customer service practically NON EXISTENT!!)

4. sLinger forums are VERY little informed about the setup issues.

5. One is NOT recommending sLinger to "lousy" user,

6. One LOVE the IRD so sLinger issues can be OVERLOOKED.

7. Strongly recommend sLinger to "expierienced" tester. U WILL LOVE THE ADVANTAGE OF UR KNOW-HOW!!!!

8. just a note: sLINGER IS NOT CHIP!!!

9. PEOPLE WHO SELL IT ARE VERY RELIABLE. STRONGLY RECOMMEND MILI.

So hows it working? Which service are you getting? Is it wide open, PPV etc?
Over all worth the costs?

One is using D*N*.....work perfect when not lagging. Router "adjustments" help a lot. It worth the cost. Can be really frustrating sometime, tho.
