can some one help me about atmel AVR3-8515...i need to know where to get parts or buy one..titty help me,please....thay still make bin's for this.and can be flashed for the 241...best thing is i can setup for the cardsharing for my CW.....i dident know this but this is better than the card hack or samething....
need to know were i can buy or build.......please guys at fsf

ok i forgot about what titty sait to me this is for sub boxes only....ok guys , how would i use for cardsharing for a sub box?i have one but it uses the rom card in the slot...or do i jtag the box and connect to chip...and plug into the interface threw that?talk to me guys

thx dss...but i think that that privite server ...is using this ...somehow thay got around this....the 8515 is still making fixes for this...and working...i cant test untill i can buy and build this...i have the prints...im allmost can bet that this is the way it will work.....it works the same way as a cardsharing...and server......ill be looking for this and try to bring good news to CW testers...

if search around on google you can get them for about 10bucks, interface card with the 8515 chip, 25bucks at this site

this site has the serial port already on the card so no soldering needed, in the past we always had to solder on a serial port ourselves (like 4 wires, not a big deal)
all the 8515 card is used for now is to receive the CW's (control words)
the 8515 card needs to be married to the provider's receiver or whatever receiver you plan on using it in

same as the captiveworks setup meda, cept your using provider's receiver and the 8515 interface card instead of the captiveworks receiver
still need an iso reader/programmer, a 24x subbed card, a pc constantly running and setup as a server, so in actuality the captiveworks is easier to card-share with

thx titty as allways....just a couple of more questions...please, this card

after you flash the chip...dose it slide in the cardslot in the sub box...works like a rom card?.....now if i wanted to cardshare, the captiveworks stb..i would still need an iso reader/writer...i dont want to get ahead of my self...can you answer my question first...but i think you know where im getting at. even if it dont work ..i still can use for the sub box...but to get the cardsharing for the cw...is the IRD right?i have to mess with that?ill have to do more reading...but i think im going in the right direction...lol

no doesn't work like a rom card (does go in the provider's receiver card slot jus as a rom card thow)
you flash the avr 8515 with latest card-share file for the 8515, the avr 8515 has to be hooked to pc 24/7 with pc running client and server, unless you know some1 tha has a server, then you would jus run the client, otherwise you need to run server and client on the pc
the 8515 needs to be connected to pc via serial cable 24/7 or when you plan on watching tv, the avr 8515 needs to be married to whatever provider receiver you are using

for the the server, for tha you need a subbed rom 24x (an active subscription on the card) and an iso reader/programmer and thas pretty much her
plug the programmer/reader into pc, slip rom24x card in programmer/reader, run the card-share server application, set your receiver up (flash the avr) then run the client

card-share with the captiveworks receivers is abit easier route meda

thx titty, got ya,i had to do some reading on this,well some good that cam out of this.i can hook up my sub box also,with the fta stb's on my server.if and when this cardshare will be opened
