c&p
ICMP Flood Attack on d*sh IKS
At around 10 pm this evening, some jerk decided to flood the d*sh IKS system with encrypted packets obtained from his slinger in an effort to disrupt our IKS setup.

I will just give you one warning: don't do it again.

The encrypted packets contain your slinger mac address and every dealer keeps track of these. In other words, we know who you are.

If you do it again, your slinger will be blacklisted and rendered useless.

end C&P

Someone tried to attack the slinger servers and deny service. They responded with a "We know who you are so don't F*CK with us.".
Basicly they spilled the beans that they keep records. If the authorities were to obtain those records, well then the authorities would know where to find you.

i was thinking the same thing k0di4k when i first read it but then i though, the slinger folks are hightech, maybe some of the slickest, for them to keep logon records is sorta unlikely i would think. what probably happened is the DOS lasted long enough for them to trace it back from the server/router activity and nailed the culprit that way...

i just can't see them keeping records, they're too slick to fruck up that way

We are given the responsibility to these people to take care of us. I'm not doing it. the only thing I am doing is FTA. This is the only option in my way of thinking.

If that is true and they had the IP then wouldn't slinger have acted on it rather than draw attention to a flaw???? I think it was an attempt to stop such attacks through bluffing but maybe not that well thought out
