Here's another c/p guys, this one from a senior member, now please don't bash me for this one just want to show you guys some of the stuf circulating out there. Again I've posted in the rumours section beleiveing it is just that.......

If you know my post's I don't put up to much B.S. and try to steer clear of putting my word and name on faulty rumors that are just spoke of at the lab. The release of the NAG3 crack will be released approximately week from when the last channels is switched of of Charlie. The date is not set as only THE MAN CHARLIE has the final say of when to switch in an unprecedented personal involvement by him. Call it BS call it what you want but mark thIs date and check when it is released and see my post and realize it was the truth.

Say whatever you would like now but whenit does come and goes as I stated, it will be seen.

Some bad info though ( I almost didn't want to put this out as it will ruffle some feather but I figure t is best to know ahead of time for you) NOT ALL RECEIVERS WILL WORK WITH THIS NEW BIN AS AFTER REVIEW of SOME OLDER MODELS IN OUR LAB, THEY WILL JUST NOT ENOUGH POWER TO RUN THE NEW CODED BIN. It is not all that wont work and approximately what we found was that about 15% wont be able to handle this conversion. This is an extremely complex code embedded here (from the number I worked its approximately NAG2^10power=NAG3. NAG3 is no joke, some wont know this name but if you have done some research, Kudelski Group has really made a giant leap froward in R-n-D.


Finally he only reason I posted this info here and not another Forum is that I revised the server location and legal issues unknown to most that this site has done it extreme due diligence TO PROTECT YOU THE POSTER'S.

It will be interesting to see if it happens..... I don't understand why DN hasn't changed over yet though.... makes no sense.... Oh and by the way the DN recievers are occationally "loosing Signal" and then coming back after a moment... Thought it was just my folks but after talking to a couple of others it seems to be a problem..... I hope they have out smarted themselves.. That would be great...

I know this post is old, but I have been away on vacation... I dont sub, but my neighbor does, about 1 month ago he was having problems with his video coming and going. Being the nice neighbor I tried to help him with the signal. I put my meter on it and it was about as good a signal I have seen. We couldnt figure out why his box was going in and out like you would if you had a bad signal. He finally called Charlie and was told there would be 50$ service charge for someone to come out and look at it. Well he is now a cable subscriber. Kinda weird he started having problems after the card switch

I think we are very fortunate to even be hearing "rumors" such as these... lol Charlie hasn't even been in full effect yet and just the overwhelming load of perhaps, B.S or truth is a good sign that we all have something to look forward to in the FTA future :) I went to Cuba for a few weeks and made sure I loaded up on RUM!! my son has dn had the same prob had to re scan everything and is now working but he says it hickups every now and then what we call frez he has the new card but the box is 3 or 4 years old. well my 2 cents arrrrrrrrr

If they are waiting for charlie to disable all channels before releasing N3 fixes, then what happens if charlie decides to disable all channels but the nasa channel? That mean we are screwed?:p

Umm, NASA and ION are true FTA channels, they are never scrambled. 240-249 are locals and currently under an ECM, no doubt they will go N3 as soon as DN figures out how to do the locals.

As forr the coders waiting for all channels to be N3 before coming out with a fix, I've always thought it was a bunch of BS, there's no reason to wait and every reason to have come out with it when BEV went down. The rumour IMHO was simply to keep selling units as long as they could.

I got a year out of my box, so it wasn't a waste of time, I feel sorry for folks (that didn't know better) that bought theirs in recent months with all kinds of promises when it was obvious that N3 was coming on fast. Personally I think it's going to be several months before an N3 fix is out for any box, other than the workarounds.

I agree with you. Nag 3 is 99% up now so there is no real reason for the coders to wait if there is a fix out. D**h will not backtrack now with most programming already changed over.

I have had people asking me for months now to order them a new box and I have told them to wait. I told them when the Nag 3 hits everything will go black and it could be gone for a long time or it might never come back so don't waste your money. IF it comes back they can give me a call and I will order their boxes. Right now a fix is all speculation.

Here is my take on things-
Cypiss will surface sometime within the next week or so, extolling the good progress the coders have made, and how good things are iminent. Several additional weeks will pass, and VS will announce their IKS as a "temporary measure"
Bottom line- No card dump, no FTA solution. Has anyone ANYWHERE heard of any verified progress on this front? (Insert sound of crickets here) I may be incorrect, and will graciously accept any correction, BUT I believe the NAG2 information was leaked, prior to full implementation of the NAG2 stream therefore the minimal downtime. The NAG2 plastic dump was not "hacked" in the true sense of the word. Until such time as NAG3 info can be bought or leaked the coders have nothing to work with. Will NAG3 be compromised? If anyone knows the true answer he ain't talkin.

Sparky, you've pretty much summed it up, NAG2 wasn't so much cracked as it was stolen. NAG3's encryption is much tighter and without a head start it will be difficult if not impossible to crack.

I beleive the running mantra is..."Wait and See" there may not be a N3 soulition...IKS may or may not become the new standard. May or may not. Any other or additional speculation is only that.
