This is my impression of other sites:

Sounds familiar! The worst part is that is as credible as a post by the ones (don't want to name any names :) ) who are supposed to know.

Now you have to give them a break. They are really having a hard time with peeps getting pissed.

I was warned on three sites within 15 min thisafternoon. All I said was Promises and excuses kept VS selling recievers and if anyone is suprised then they are foolish. Also if VS wants to impress me they should give a real deadline that if they don't meet it they should promise to buy back any recievers we want to return to them. Thats called a money back guarentee and I will definitely believe that!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's rediculous, too many rules for a simple chat it up and hope for a fix forum, I mean c'mon we are all here for the same reason even the Mod's who abuse their
power can't wait for a fix. Everyone just needs to lighten up and laugh a little. So there's no fix, what do they expect everyone to bow and say thank you for telling us it was coming even though it was not. It is human nature to lash out when you get excited about somthing and then it's crushed. (over and over).
If we want our porn and vids that bad we can rent them.

Anyways i think i'll stop typing every thought that pops into my head now. :cool:

the bastard lied to me on the progress of the new bin,got to make some calls,this is a definite setback, i may have to pull out my coders for dummies book and help out,they have the map, but the rest is pretty much guess work for the coders,it's almost like guessing the lotto numbers,but with endless amount of guesses.He still says we will be able to watch the fight tommorow but i really don't know right now,i still have an ace up my sleave, i call a special card coder friend of mine and see if he can help.

I haven't stopped holding my breath. It's still very very smelly from all the shit being flung around these sites! The bottom line for VS with all the bashing and name calling that's been happening of late is due to two reasons...

1) TDG is thee WORST PR twit that VS could have ever chosen to represent them. Salesman type, just could never put lipstick on that VS pig. To give him just a smidgeon of credit, he didn't get much help from VS in any of his campaigns.

2) VS refuses to turn their card reader on and decided to BAN anybody who would ask about VS FIXING the BROKEN card reader in the systems that we've all purchased. The VS customer has no recourse to fix their broken product right now and they're feeling screwed.

It doesn't matter how good the next fix works when it comes out for VS, I'll bet you dollars to doughnuts that their PVR sales will stink to high heaven! People won't forget about how they've been treated in the past. It doesn't matter how cool VS' new PVR is, not many people will put one more dime into the pocket of little yellar ever again.

Where is TDG by the way? Very depressed in a corner somewhere or back at the dealership to keep his mind off this whole soap opera? TDG, if you're still out there, please drop in and say hi, Bubba.

I will be buyin a pvr. I will give all the naysayers a little slack, VS did BS about timelines but did eventually come through first, again, with a cardless fix. Which is the way most of us wanted it. There PR took a big hit with this latest ECM but they still have the best support. I am not one of those brown nosing, I LOVE YOU Mr.V, morons that seem to visit the other site all too often, but i give VS full credit for stepping up to the plate and doin what needs to be done to keep their sales up. This is a business, lets not forget, and i will stand behind whomever has the best product and support. VS takes it.

God its nice to have over 1000 channels again!!
