The heat and humidity has finally hit a crescendo here in the mid-Ohio River Valley.
The air is so thick it makes us fellows grip the inseam of our pants and shake our legs to unstick the family jewels, while the ladies are trying to discretely cross their arms and raise 'em over there heads to get a little air under their breastses.
We listen with anticipation as the next thuderstorm builds, hoping it will hit us here and bring a brief respite with its passage. Knowing the noticably cooler air that follows will wilt with the emergence of the sun.
No person dares yet complain, as it is early in the season and the first to opine on the heat knows they wil hear " Why no moren a couple o weeksego ye was awhinin' 'bout 'ow cold 'n' damp hit be! Ye fuckin' baby! Hits summer dammit! quitsyer bitchin'!!"
