How could anyone at the UN or anywhere else in the world think they can broker a peace with these abberations of nature.


I may be foolish for having made this post cause once they find i will surely be a marked bear myself.

i agree PB... somethings gotta give in that area for peace to happen, and pretty much everyone is to blame at this point for not securing a reasonable peace, but these Hamas idiots are completely wacked. I heard on some news show the other day that none of the arab governments like Hamas.. oh, except for one, hmmm i wonder which one that could be...:eek:

Israel should have NEVER been pressured into giving them Gaza. It was interpreted as weakness by the Arabs. Now it is time for Israel to hit these douche bags HARD and bring them to their knees. Don't believe the anti-Israel slant of the media. Hamas is a terrorist organization that hides behind it's own women and children. They are devil worshiping Arabs and will all burn in hell.

I must say, I am in no way a Hamas supporter, but I most certainly do not support Israel either. To say that Israel "gave" them Gaza is a joke. Israel took EVERYTHING from these people. They also control everything and everyone that goes in and out of Palestine. Also, I can never understand how Israel feels the need to defend itself against a people that has no army, navy, airforce, or any military at all. There is also no anti-Israel anything in the U.S run media. As always it is the innocent civilians that want peace that have to pay the price.

And what exactly is Israel supposed to do?? Let them keep firing rockets?? During the so called cease fire they continued to fire on Israel, basically making life for that part of the country unlivable. There have been thousands and thousands of rockets fired since Israel gave up Gaza, with little to no retaliation on their part (other than the blockades which was implemented because of the rocket fire). WHY wasn't the rest of the world up in arms over that?? These slime balls purposely set up their arm caches and rockets in places where there are the maximum amount of innocent civilians. How many countries other that Israel warn when an attack is eminent on a MILTARY target, allowing as many civilians to vacate before they attack. Not the Hamas. The more civilians hurt (especially their own), the better they like it. The whole thing is absolutely nuts....

if you do know !!! tell me when Israel was born.... if you dont know .. Israel was born in 1948.... thats mean befor 1948 was no Israel, therefore this land where Israel now is arabic land ( Palestine) November 2nd, 1917

Couldn't agree more. I sure hope that if someone ever invaded my country that I would have the resolve to fight them until I was dead. These "brave" Israeli soldiers with their tanks, F-16s, and all the latest military hardware are fighting against people with rocks and rockets made with fertilizer.
And the massive death toll clearly demonstrates the shallowness of the Israeli statement that this operation is retaliatory. What Israel is doing is clearly a War Crime by all the definitions. I simply can't understand how anyone can support either Hamas or Israel in this conflict.

how bout this - what if farmers and such near the can - us border on the canadian side have been launching rockets from the top of their barns at the us towns along the border for the past three years. killing some and basically causing havoc, with the US peacefully asking us to please stop it already.

finally after three years of constant threat of stray rockets to its citiznes, they decide to invade with force to stop it - Whos the bad guy ????????????

When Bush Jr went into Iraq my cousin was army and worked at the command center. He said htey had a hell of a time keeping the reporters out of harms way. After Iraq fell the reporters swarmed the country side looking for stories about anti-american centiment. They ignored most of the people who were happy about it....

I think the media should be responsible for what world problems they instigate.

Yet there are many people who will give them sympathy....
Another point.... If the Arab countries are so behind the palestinians having their own country then why haven't they ever caughed up any land from their regions? I am speaking as an American of Irish decent but it seems if everyone over there wants them to have their own state then set one up for them so there will be peace

BRIEF FACTS ON THE ISRAELI CONFLICT TODAY.... ( It takes just 1.5 minutes to read!!!! )

It makes sense and it's not slanted. Jew and non-Jew -- it doesn't matter.



1. Nationhood and Jerusalem. Israel became a nation in 1312 BCE, Two thousand years before the rise of Islam.

2. Arab refugees in Israel began identifying themselves as part of a Palestinian people in 1967, two decades after the establishment of the modern State of Israel.

3. Since the Jewish conquest in 1272 BCE, the Jews have had dominion over the land for one thousand years with a continuous presence in the land for the past 3,300 years.

4. The only Arab dominion since the conquest in 635 CE lasted no more than 22 years.

5. For over 3,300 years, Jerusalem has been the Jewish capital Jerusalem has never been the capital of any Arab or Muslim entity. Even when the Jordanians occupied Jerusalem, they never sought to make it their capital, and Arab leaders did not come to visit.

6. Jerusalem is mentioned over 700 times in Tanach, the Jewish Holy Scriptures. Jerusalem is not mentioned once in the Koran.

7. King David founded the city of Jerusalem. Mohammed never came to Jerusalem.

13. The Arab-Israeli Conflict: the Arabs are represented by eight separate nations, not including the Palestinians. There is only one Jewish nation. The Arab nations initiated all five wars and lost. Israel defended itself each time and won.

14. The PLO's Charter still calls for the destruction of the State of Israel. Israel has given the Palestinians most of the West Bank land, autonomy under the Palestinian Authority, and has supplied them.

15. Under Jordanian rule, Jewish holy sites were desecrated and the Jews were denied access to places of worship. Under Israeli rule, all Muslim and Christian sites have been preserved and made accessible to people of all faiths.

16. The UN Record on Israel and the Arabs: of the 175 Security Council resolutions passed before 1990, 97 were directed against Israel.

17. Of the 690 General Assembly resolutions voted on before 1990, 429 were directed against Israel.

18. The UN was silent while 58 Jerusalem Synagogues were destroyed by the Jordanians.

19. The UN was silent while the Jordanians systematically desecrated the ancient Jewish cemetery on the Mount of Olives.

20. The UN was silent while the Jordanians enforced an apartheid-like a policy of preventing Jews from visiting the Temple Mount and the Western Wall.

when israel was returning the siani to egypt way back in 1978, Israel assumed that it would return Gaza, that was captured from the Egyptians in the 6 day war. Well, their assumption was totally wrong and Egypt REFUSED to take Gaza back ! Where else have you ever heard of a country refusing to take back land lost in a conflict ? The thing is .... nobody wants Gaza

For the past 60 years, the Israelis have defied every UN Security Council resolution in their quest to obliterate the voice of resistance. Efforts by various governments to seek a just peace to both parties have failed and will continue to fail as long as Israel engages in such holocausts, undoubtedly encouraged to a great extent by the veto power of the United States at the United Nations. They are also engaging their spin machine within the Western media to justify such atrocities. Comparisons made by the assault on civilians with F-16s and Apache helicopters with fertilizer-fueled rockets border on the ridiculous. Suddenly, fighting for your land and rights is no longer a just cause to some Western columnists, who view any form of Palestinian resistance as a form of terrorism. Talk about hypocrisy! Nice job!

After the "brave" IDF soldiers forced Palestinian children into a "safe house" then bombed it the next day killing most of them, it is clear who the disgusting aggressors are.

I want to start off with I do not have a favorite side. I have done some news searches outside the USA and there is no way they are all right. Lots of spectacular media coverage trying to get a pulitzer. The media has an ajenda. I believe only half of what the media says.

Second both sides have had a hand in the problems over there. Each has a share of the responsibility. Also those who belong to the united nations have worked their own ajendas too.

The UN is imputant when it comes to these matters. They like to make speaches and point fingers but when it comes down to it they are bullshit. I wish they had stopped Bush and his Oil Ajenda. That is another thread though.

Lets face it, Hamas knew there were factions starting shit. If memory serves they have said this before. THey are letting this happen. The Israelis over react and turn the popular opinion against themselves. This all has happenned before. No big surprise.....

THe only way there is going to be peace is if you take the region and put up an iron curtain like europe had and the UN patrols. A physical wall and a real UN presents is all I can see to stop it. Of course this would involve a disarming and a stop to outside groups interfering.

Of course this is only my opinion. I have not researched the history of the world for supporting facts. THere is snough info on both sides of the issue to argue forever.
