I am new to FTA and I am having trouble getting my first system working. I will take any suggestions that are offered. Thank you in advace!
I have a satellite dish with two lnb's mounted to it with a "LNB Y Adapter Yoke". This is connected to a Viewsat Platinum lite receiver. I have followed the instructions and successfully uploaded "DBPSW-070817P.PGM" to the receiver. I confirmed this through the receiver upgrade screen of the menu. I have 70+% signal according to the "antenna setup" screen of the menu but when I do a channel scan I get nothing. I have all the other setting within the receiver matching my friends working Viewsat Platinum lite receiver. The only differance is he is using a single lnb connect directly with NO LNB Y Adapter Yoke. I can't see how this can make a differance as I am getting signal but as I said, I am new to this.
I currently have the receiver connected with one single wire to the left lnb. I have tried connecting with an SW41 switch with three wires to both lnb's with the same result, no channels with a channel scan. I would be greatful I could get any assistance with this issue. Thanks!
