Okay so i had dish a couple of months ago, until i decided to cancel. The dish receiver is outside of my house and pointing in the correct direction because the dish folks set it up them selves. Now i want to get a pansat 3500s reciever and i was wondering what else i would need. i live in the us and want to recieve most american channels and some international channels (indian channels)
also can someone explain the whole bin and keys and stuff like that?
Welcome to Freesatfix.
I am not familiar with the 3500 so can't offer any help there. But I can let you know about some other things.
As you scroll down the main page of the forum you will see different sections that all have either general or specific infor mation you may need to know.
It is well worth you time to look over as much as you can, but don't hesitate to ask questions. We are here to help.:)
Before we can offer much assistance about what else you might need, we need to know what LNBs you have on your dish. Is it one solid unit with two "eyes facing" the dish? Or two seperate LNB's? How many cable connections are there? Are they marked?
Also what type of labeling is it/them? DP in a black sticker on the back, for example?
Make yourself at home and take a look around.
And let us know about your dish set-up. We want to help you get going.;)

okay so heres what i have so far now,
i have a pansat 3500s
DISH 500(dual lnb) and dish 500 (1 lnb)
i live in america so the dish 500 is for the indian channels and dish 500 is for indian channels both were set up by dish company themselves
what do i have to do now in order to receive dish network
i have upgraded the firmware to one the seller included with and now i just dont get how to connect to the dishes, do i need another switch or can i use the dishpro switch that they already installed
Most FTA receivers, including the 3500, work well with the DP switches.
I am pretty sure you will need to define that type of switch in your Installation Settings.
Hopefully someone familiar with the 3500 can help you further.

Glad to here it.
Since we don't have one on that, would you like to put a post in the PS3500 section that describes your settings and what you did?
