Pvr?

The specs dont directly mention PVR ability but the USB rear connection says for an ext hd

Can an actual owner confirm if this box can do pvr

i know you can record what your watching (ippvr) im not sure on a harddrive or usb recording, im sure some1 round here knows and will let ya know
you'll find in first hd release, the loader, factory, ippvr.exe and the first release file
ippvr records to your pc via net connection, start ippvr program, hit record on nfusion remote, and what your watching on nfusion will be recorded to pc
then use whatever player to view it on pc

Actually that wouldnt be a bad deal for me. If I get one of these boxes i will run a cat5 to my rounter so the speed will be adequate plus i have a 1TB drive there so that would be perfect so long as i could set up the directory structure.

Yes, the HD unit does do IPPVR as I have used it a couple of times and it works fine. Haven't personally tried the usb pvr but have read from other users that it does work but HD has to be formatted to fat 32 and the files are in 2 gig chunks.
As far as doing timed recordings, not yet, but the coders stated that is is on the top of the priority list.
I like the menu and set-up features. and the wife even likes the guide so that's a bonus for me ... lol

Yes, I have a wd my book 500g working but not very good yet, Next bin is is supposed to be first with bugs fixed for usb recording. I think they just got it working good enough to load bins from usb. Some times it will record whole show. it will break it up into 2g chunks. Some times it just quits recording on its own at random times. You cant set it to record from guide yet. No visual ff or rw and a few others.

I sent an email to the guys from nfusiononline.com asking them about the update for recording from the epg but they said updates are done by third party software people and they cant speak on what would be done.

I guess i thought some update came right from the manufacture but i must have been mistaken

hahaha thye just protectding themselves. - ya think they gonna give out their source codes to thrid parties to play with
