"Scramble" message on TV screen ?!

Hello,

I just bought a brand new CNX-duo, & downloaded the earliest progs from this site, thank you!

When zapping afterwords, the system sooner or later ends up with the message "scramble" on the TV screen. Sometimes on some channels, sometimes on all of them. At times all channels show up & suddenly they partly or completely stop being available... Does anyone know the possible reasons that this may happen? What should I do? Please advise.

did you try a hardboot?
...sometimes corrects the problem

it might be your timing...dn activeted the ecm ...so when you got your tv working
you got hit ...you probaly have to wait for a fix...keep your eyes on the download section

no conaxsat made it through all is fine,

Try this after a factory reset and hard boot.


password should be 0000 until you set it, it can be set under parental lock or turned off-------
what birds are you going for?
maybe we here at fsf give ya some help!
you will need the following files, (SEE BELOW)
go on and download, then tell us what birds your looking for.
you must do the following first in order
once you download, unzip, get files and put on a usb drive. (two files have ".uno" extensions and one has ".exx" extension)
goto menu / move to left till you see utility, scroll down to usb , hit ok
you now see all files on usb stick(you did plug it up right--)
you probably should only load files with .uno or .exx extensions to b safe
load the following in order (it will shut down in process and boot back)


1. factory bin-(upgrade as bootloader) http://freesatfix.com/forums/showthread.php?t=22612

2. Software upgrade- upgrade with (S/W upgrade)

3. Patch (just let it update then hit OK)

after the above mentioned is done then got menu/installations
goto channel search
should be set as follows
(FOR 119w)
echo7 119w
diseqc 1
tp frequency 12239
lnb dishpro1 (if this is the dish you have)
22khz tone off
multidish switch off
search options blind (when i use the "all" options it misses alot of channels)
lnb on
then hit search
when you hit search it will ask: frequency step-- make it 2mhz
symbol rate------all
polarity---------all
hit search again at this point this will take a while be patient, but it scans thorough
next as follows kinda same thing but bifferent bird

(FOR 110w)
echo 8/10 110w
diseqc 2
tp frequency 12224
lnb dishpro1
22khz off
multidish swith off
seach options blind
lnb on
then hit search again

when you hit search it will ask: frequency step-- make it 2mhz
symbol rate------all
polarity---------all
hit search again at this point this will take a while but it scans thorough

it is set to autoroll by default so put it on a ch. and sit and wait---4 or 5 min.
if all was done correct you will be happy!!!!

you also have othe options in the menu to set locals, time, pict.settings, dsplay--etc... play with it and enjoy have fun testing hope this helps!

Do you have a cure for bad weather TV interruptions? Today the dish got stuck with snow & I could not whatch the 2nd half of the hockey game...

Dam where do you live? Snow already in oct? sorry can't help you there I'm in BC canada and never had a problem even when it snowed.:eek:

Going to move to BC.
With all that rain you get and you don't lose sat signal?
You must live in a very special gaurded area.
Even regular BEV and DN receivers lose signal in bad weather.
It's a fact!

Does anyone have a tip to make the sat dish kind of slipery against snow. Or a way that I do not loose the signal when it rains hard. Maybe something that we can spray on there so nothing sticks on the dish to block the signal?

Whiteman I watch my sat everyday. Have had fta for 3-4 years and seriously never had signal problems with weather. You guys must live on the mountains or the goonies (no offence) if you keep losing signal due to weather. I even have giant trees behind my house too! I know people here also that never had problems with signal due to weather, Kinda of unfortunate for u guys.

You could use rainex/wd or pam....only things I now of....as far as loosing signal when it rains hard nothing that I know will help....

i live in mich in 94 be for we move to tnn and we got a lot of snow i try rainex that you use on your car and it work wd40 should to the same thing;try that;;;;;;;;;;;;:new_all_c

I am new to this and i understand this is happening but i have the newest code and it happened when all other system were knocked out it not a new system we have been using it since may...I am lost i get all my other channels just not these ones they come up scrambled

I am using CNX-DUO with bell

can anyone explain to me please i can understand computers but when it comes to these machines i go alittle nuts....lol
