kbox not seeing usb stick

Just wondering how to setup up the files from the usb, i cant seem to get the window to pop up saying download file.
Help Please!

should aknoledge as soon as stick is inserted, no flashin light on stick or nothin? you can also program with 9pin cable

Yes the light is flashing but not thats it... i cannot save i cannot do anything with the usb... also can i use the 9 pin cable that came with the dongle? i dont have my wireless print server yet. that is why i am using it as a stand alone.

also the k1 heros****.kbx file should that be changed to ****.ird?

yeh that cable will work fine, it should read either file extension fine. Download latest fix, unzip,if you created a folder, open, get the .ird or .kbx file and save to usb stick should be named "K1HEROS v.1.46.00 20080905.kbox" for latest fix, put usb slot in ird the use up or down to highlight file then hit red button on remote, should update, if this dont work use serial cable it came with and download goto http://freesatfix.com/forums/showthread.php?t=18766 for the serial loader file to update with cable you will still use this same file, just use the loader pgm and cable, youll get it!

Thanks i got the unit uploaded via cable. but now i cant get any picture other than the one standard picture the bev provides. do i need to do anything with the rxver to tell it to be a stand alone box vs one that updates through the internet? also I do have the latest file (090508) so that is not the issue, unless that file is down.

Yeh thats the latest file, make sure that you go in and on the options turn, modem off, both autorolls on. see if this helps

Thanks, got it to go but had to reset to factory defaults after the file was installed, but still no usb. seems to be power on and off when i plug in a hard drive.

Any idea on that anyone?

Ok seems to be working out after all... funny my drive i was using was working in everything else but the KBOX... bought a new jump drive and it works perfect. also I had to make sure the file ended in ird and not kbx. (xxxxxxxxxx.ird and not xxxxxxxxxx.kbx).
